Employees of the Navy Exchange’s South East Distribution Center in Pensacola, FL are packing and preparing nearly 1,200 CNO Professional Reading Program (CNO-PRP) book kits. These kits will be leaving the warehouse in the next few days and will be arriving at more than 450 Navy commands around the world during the month of December.

Each kit contains the 18 “Essential” CNO-PRP books plus several bonus books (while supplies last). These kits are provided by the CNO-PRP and are free to the receiving commands. The CNO-PRP managers suggest that receiving commands develop local book check-out procedures that strike an appropriate balance between keeping track of the books, and making them readily available to as many Sailors (in all ranks) as possible. Accessibility is one key goal of the program.
